FRANKLIN BELKNAP. Born in St. Johnsbury, and twenty-two years of age at date of enlistment. Enlisted in Company C, 3d Regiment, June 1, 1861, and was mustered into United States service, as drummer, July 16, 1861. Was at the battles of Lee's Mills and Williamsburg. Discharged Sept. 15, 1862, for disability?lameness occasioned by constant exposure. Franklin is son of Amos K. Belknap, and brother of Amos, a member of Company C, 8th Regiment. United States bounty, $33.33.
