Butler, Howard G. - T.Sgt

T-Sgt. Howard G. Butler, son of Mrs. George Potashnick, 4224 Lomo Alto, is a prisoner of war in Germany, according to word received from the War Department, and the International Red Cross. He was a ballturret gunner on a Flying Fortress, attached to the Eighth Air Force.

In the Army almost three years he was a veteran of over forty combat missions, and had been previously reported missing in action Nov. 2. Butler had been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters.
