George E. Finicle Accidentally Killed In France.

Huron, June 7. The war was brought home to Huron late this afternoon when Mrs. E. N. Finicle of this city received from the war department that her son, Private George E. Finicle, a member of the American expeditionary force in France, had been accidentally killed on June 2, while on duty with the American forces on the western front in France.

Private Finicle is the first Huron young man with the overseas forces to be killed.

The young soldier was born at Bonilla, S. D., a small village north of here on January 10, 1896. Came to Huron with his parents several years ago. On September 28 last he enlisted in the field artillery branch of the army was sent to Jefferson barracks and later transferred to Camp Robinson, Wisconsin, where he remained until sent overseas. He had been in France since last December.

Besides his mother the young man is survived by two sisters. His father died several years ago.
