Clark, James

James Clark... was a soldier in the Revolutionary War and served in the company under his brother, Captain John, the latter later becoming a colonel in the U. S. A. James Clark was a sergeant in his brother's company of the Eighth Regiment. James Clark, while in the army in Virginia, met and married Miss Jean McCulloch. After the war they settled in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, where the government granted 416 acres of land to him for services rendered in the war. They reared a family of 13 children, the third in order of birth being John Clark, grandfather of Dr. Wm. Blaine Clark.
