Minnich, Peter

Peter Minnich—born 1702—came from Germany in 1737 and settled in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania. His son Michael was born in 1737 in Tulpehocken township, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania. He lived in Berks county and served in the Revolutionary war as lieutenant in Captain Null’s company of Colonel Laurence Greenawald’s battalion. His son, George Minnich, served in the war of 1812, and died in 1816. George Minnich’s youngest daughter, Salome,—born 1814 and died 1876,—married Duncan McVicker in 1836. She changed her name to Sarah because of the dislike of her husband to the name of Salome.
