McConnell, John

John McConnell.... was a native of Ireland, and settled in Wolf Creek township; Mercer county, about 1810, and was married in 1811. His wife was a native of Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, where he had resided a short time previous to his location in Mercer county. He was with Captain McCoy, in 1813, at Erie. His death occurred in 1869, his wife dying a few days before her husband; but both lived to the ripe, old age of eighty years. Their family consisted of ten children: George; William; Eleanor, who married Reverend Isaac Scoefield; Francis; Hettie, married to Patrick Dunn; Susan, who married William Barr; Elizabeth; James; Christina, Mrs. George Kinder, and John T., all of whom are dead excepting Francis, William, Mrs. Dunn, Mrs. Kinder, and John T.
