Wolverton, Charles

CHARLES WOLVERTON was born in New York, and was by occupation a farmer ; he enlisted August 9th, 1862, aged nineteen years, and participated in the battles of Harper's Ferry, Gettysburg, Auburn Ford, Bristow Station, Mine Run, and Morton's Ford ; on the 4th of April, 1864, he was detached with provost guard at Headquarters, 2d Army Corps, in which capacity he served until the close of the war, when he was discharged with the Regiment. Co. E, 126th Regiment Infantry New York, Disaster, struggle, triumph. Dedicated to the 126th Regiment of New York State Volunteers, 1870
