Lahr, Peter F.

PETER F. LAHR was born in Fayette, New York, and was a farmer by occupation ; he enlisted August 9th, 1862, aged eighteen years, and participated in the following battles : Harper's Ferry, Gettysburg, Auburn. Ford, Bristow Station, Mine Run and Morton's Ford ; on the 4th of April, 1864, he was detached in provost guard at Head-quarters 2d Army Corps, in which capacity he served until the close of the war, and was discharged with the Regiment. Co. I, 126th Regiment Infantry New York, Disaster, struggle, triumph. Dedicated to the 126th Regiment of New York State Volunteers, 1870
