Chapin, Charles Edwards - Sgt

Chapin, Charles Edwards, Sergeant, was born in Bernardston, August 8, 1869, son of Frederick and Hester M. Chapin. He was by occupation a paper maker. Enlisted May 3, 1898 at South Framingham and was mustered in May 9, as Sergeant of Co. L, Second regiment. He died August 30, 1898 at Hospital, Camp Wikoff, Long Island. His wife was Annie J. Sauer of Turners Falls. She now resides in Greenfield as does his daughtter, Hester R., now Mrs. Mansfred A. McKeage, and son Charles Frederick.
