Capt. Charles D. Parkhurst.

Capt. Charles D. Parkhurst of the Fourth Artillery, who was among the officers wounded, was born in Massachusetts and was appointed to the West Point Military Academy from Rhode Island July 1, 1868. Upon his graduation he was promoted to be Second Lieutenant of the Fifth Cavalry. In August, 1878, he was made First Lieutenant, and was transferred to the Fourth Artillery on June 12, 1884. He recently attained his present rank. Capt. Parkhurst is a graduate of the Artillery School of the class of '92.
