LATE ROBERT RIDDELL BROWN
The funeral of Major Robert Riddell Brown, who died suddenly at the Baltimore Club last Friday evening, took place yesterday afternoon. Service was held in Emmanuel Protestant Episcopal Church, Cathedral and Read streets, at 4:30 o'clock, by Rev. Dr. J. Houston Ecclestion, rector. Special music was rendered by a selected choir. A number of prominent people were at the church. The officers of the Fourth Regiment attended in uniform. Officers of the Fifth Regiment who are in the city were also present. The board of governors of the Baltimore Club attended in a body. Members of other social organizations with which Major Brown was connected were present. The floral tributes were very beautiful.
The pallbearers were Major Samuel H. Lyon, Mr. Ernest N. Morison, Mr. Charles Grogan, Mr. William T. Riggs, Mr. W. Thomas Wilson and Mr. Henry G. Barrett. Interment was made privately in the family lot in Greenmount Cemetery. Henry W. Jenkins & Sons had charge of the funeral arrangements.
