Nephew of Reverdy Johnson Kills Himself While Irresponsible.

Special to The Washington Post.

Annapolis, July 11.---John Johnson, a prominent citizen of Anne Arundel County, committed suicide here at 5 o'clock this morning by shooting himself in the head. He had been in extremely bad health for some years, and had been reduced to a condition of irresponsibility. The affair took place at the residence of his brother, James T. Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was sixty-one years old, and a member of a prominent Maryland family, his uncle being Reverdy Johnson, the famous Maryland lawyer. He was a gallant Confederate soldier of the First Maryland Regiment.
