Ellis, James

James Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Ellis, who served one year overseas, returned home Saturday after being given his final discharge papers at Camp Taylor. Private Ellis was a member of the 12th Field Artillery, Second Division and was in the battle at Soissons, France, in which Bishop Batterton, brother of County Judge George Batterton, was wounded, dying the following day.
