Giltner, Henry L.

A Distinguished Ex-Confederate Soldier.

One of the guests of the St. George hotel is Henry L. Giltner of Kentucky, who has been in the city several weeks. He is a distinguished ex-confederate soldier, who was for four years colonel of the fourth Kentucky regiment and who had been commissioned general at the close of the war. He took part in many of the stirring events of the war and was connected with a series of bloody engagements between Knoxville, Tenn., and Wytheville, Va.
