Banta, Frederick Cameron - Corporal


Son of Everett and Pauline W. Banta; born September 9,
1893, Lake Cicott, Cass County, Ind. Farmer. Enlisted in
Ohio National Guard, 3rd Regiment, June 19, 1916, Dayton,
Ohio. Served on Mexican Border in 1916. Re-enlisted
following the declaration of war by United States against Ger-
many. Served with Company I, 148th Infantry. Went over-
seas, wounded in action September 28, 1918, Montfaucon,
France, and died October 1, 1918.
