April 2, 1888, Harrison Township, Bartholomew County, Ind.
Farmer and stockman. Located in South Dakota at time of
enlistment. Entered service July 22, 1918, Pierre, S. D. Sent
to Camp Dodge, la.; assigned to 45th Company, 12th Training
Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade. Died of pneumonia August 8,
1918, Camp Dodge, la. Buried in Clifty Cemetery, Columbus,
