Baker, Rufus Samuel


Son of George W. and Elizabeth Baker (deceased); born
January 31, 1896, Jefferson County, Ky. Moved to Bartholo-
mew County, Ind., in 1912. Employe of Edinburgh Electric
Light Company. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army April 11,
1917, Columbus, Ind. Sent to Ft. William H. Seward, Alaska;
assigned to Company F, 14th Infantry. Transferred to Ft.
Lawton, Wash.; assigned to Company A, 14th Infantry; thence
to Camp Dodge, la., where he died of pneumonia October 22,
1918. Buried in New Zion Cemetery, near Ogilville, Ind.
