Hill, Edward Leon


Son of Ernest O. and Myrtle Hill (Mason) ; born January 1, 1899, Alton, Ill. Moved to Allen County, Ind. in 1911. Enlisted in Indiana National Guard in April 1916, for service on
the Mexican Border. In September, 1917, he enlisted in the Canadian Army, Victoria, British Columbia; assigned to the 50th Gordon Highlanders, and went overseas in November, 1917. Killed in action August 9, 1918, while serving with the 72nd Battalion, on the Flanders Front.
