AHRENS, WILLIAM H. Private

Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ahrens; born May 17, 1889,
Goeglein, Allen County, Ind. Farmer. Entered service
July 23, 1918, Fort Wayne. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.;
assigned to 2nd Company, 1st Training Battalion, 159th Depot
Brigade. Transferred to Battery B, 3rd Training Battalion,
thence to Battery F, 1st Regiment, Field Artillery Replacement
Depot. Died of influenza October 27, 1918, Camp Taylor,
Ky. Buried with military honors in the rural cemetery, near
his home, Fort Wayne, Ind.
