ELION, ALFRED Private

Son of Charles J. and Mary Samboely Elion; born March 14, 1892, Fort Wayne, Ind. Enlisted in U. S. Regular Army, March 14, 1917, Ft. Wayne, Ind. Sent to Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind. Overseas in August 1917; assigned to Company D, 22nd Engineers. Gassed, and wounded from shell shock, in the Meuse-Argonne Drive. Invalided to U.S., and treated in different hospitals. Died March 13, 1920 in the Irene Byron Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Ind. Buried in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
