CLARK, WILLIAM P. (Colored) - Private

Son of Silas and Catherine Greagy Clark; born June 27,
1895, Owensboro, Ky. Moved to Gary, Ind. in 1917, and was
employed in one of the steel mills, when he was called into serv-
ice August 23, 1918, Gary. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa;
assigned to 71st Company, 163rd Depot Brigade. Overseas in
September, 1918; assigned to Company G, 809th Pioneer Infan-
try. Died March 8, 1919 of influenza. Buried in American
Cemetery, Meucon, Morbihan, France.
