Milwaukee, Wis. Moved to East Chicago, Ind. in 1903.
Employe of Bushing Mill. Entered service June 26, 1918,
East Chicago. Sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio; assigned to 17th
Company, 5th Battalion, 158th Depot Brigade. Transferred
to Camp Mills, N. Y., and embarked for overseas September 9,
1918. Assigned to Company E, 358th Infantry. Killed in
action November 10, 1918. Buried in Sedan American Ceme-
tery, Grave No. 176, Plot 4.
