1878, Cincinnati, Ohio. Served in Spanish-American War.
Living in Indianapolis when he enlisted in U.S. Regular Army
June 13, 1917, Washington, D. C. Sent to Ft. Benjamin
Harrison, Ind.; assigned to Company H, 28th Infantry, 1st
Division. Overseas in fall of 1917. Killed in action July 21,
1918, south of Soissons. Cited for distinguished conduct.
Buried, Soissons, France. Survived by widow, Catherine
