CANNON, ELLIS P. - Mechanic

Son of Peter and Martha A. Cannon: born March 16, 1882,
Vincennes, Ind. Plumber. Enlisted in 127th Company,
Coast Artillery Corps in 1909. Served on the Mexican Border.
Re-enlisted March 6, 1914, Texas City.; assigned to Company
A, 23rd Infantry. Sent to Syracuse, N.Y.; assigned to Company
A, 49th Infantry. Later sent to Camp Merritt, N.J. Died
of pneumonia February 4. 1918, Ft. Hamilton, N.Y. Buried in
Green Lawn Cemetery, Vincennes, Ind.
