Featherstone, Jeremiah - Sergeant


Son of David and Mary Graham Featherstone (Hoffman);
born September 24, 1884, Vernon Township, Jennings County,
Ind. At the age of 23 he enlisted in the U.S. Regular Army.
Assigned to Company C, 27th Infantry. Served with Company
F, 7th Infantry on the Mexican Border in 1916. Overseas
in February 1918; assigned to Headquarters Company, 60th
Infantry, 5th Division. Killed in action October 24, 1918,
Cunel, France. Cited for distinguished conduct in action,
October 14, 1918, by his Brigade Commander, General Castner.
