ALLMAN, FRED - Private

Son of Phillip and Sarah Allman; born May 16, 1891,
Hamilton Township, Jackson County, Ind. Farmer. Entered
service June 26, 1918, Brownstown, Ind. Sent to Camp Sher-
man, Ohio; assigned to 17th Company, 5th Training Battalion,
158th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Company E, 334th
Infantry. Overseas in August, 1918. Died of pneumonia
October 16, 1918, "in France." Survived by widow, Flossie
Allman, and one son, Clarence Allman, Surprise, Jackson
County, Ind.
