Normal, Terre Haute, Ind., and Academy of Fine Arts, Chicago,
Ill. Entered service September 21, 1917, Greenfield, Ind.
Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky. ; assigned to Company L, 131st
Infantry. Overseas May 22, 1918; assigned to Company
A, 111th Infantry. Killed in action October 10, 1918, Bois de
Chaume, near Verdun, France. Buried, "Somewhere in
