BREECE, OVAL ELMER - - - Seaman, 2nd Class

Son of Walter C. and Mary Breece; born January 9, 1897,
Maiden, Mo. Moved to Cicero, Hamilton County, Ind., in
1899. Farmer. Enlisted in U.S. Navy July 11, 1918, Indian-
apolis, Ind. Sent to Camp Decatur; then to Camp Dewey,
Great Lakes, Ill. Promoted to 2nd Class Seaman. Trans-
ferred to U.S. Navy Yards, Philadelphia, Pa.; assigned to the
Los Angeles. Died of pneumonia September 19, 1918 on board
Los Angeles. Buried at sea.
