LINDLEY, JOHN HORACE - 2nd Lieutenant

Son of Gurney and Adella Hobson Lindley (deceased) ; born
November 10, 1892, Howard County, Ind. Moved with parents
to Fairmount, Grant County, Ind., in 1893. Educated in
Bloomingdale Academy. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army in
May, 1911, served three years; discharged. Re-enlisted in
November, 1914; assigned to 7th U.S. Cavalry. Promoted to
2nd Lieutenant. Served on the Mexican Border in 1916.
Died of influenza November 14, 1918, Jackson Barracks, La.
Buried in Neoqua, Ill.
