DAVIS, HARRY JAMES Private

Son of James and Adelaide Davis (Wilber); born March 20,
1895, Marcellus, Mich. Moved to Elkhart County, Ind. in
early life. Entered service March 29, 1918, Elkhart, Ind.
Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; assigned to 14th Company, 4th Bat-
talion, 159th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Company H,
45th Infantry. Went overseas in May, 1918. Died, August
12, 1918, in a French Hospital, from wounds received in action
at Chateau-Thierry. (Burial place unknown).
