RUDE, HARRY ETTINGER - Private

Son of Charles H. and Clara Rude; born September 30,
1895, Pawtucket, R. I. Moved with parents to Dekalb County
Ind., in 1896. After completing a course in civil engineering,
Northwestern University, was employed as civil engineer on
Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. Entered service
November 5, 1917, Chicago, Ill. Assigned to Medical Corps;
sent to Ft. Riley, Kans. Died of pneumonia January 5, 1918,
Ft. Riley. Buried Waterloo, Dekalb County, Ind.
Gold Star Honor Roll, A Record of the Indiana Men and Women who died in the service of the United States and the Allied Nations in the World War 1914-1918, published by the Indiana Historical Commission, 1921
