ASDELL, SAMUEL CLARENCE - Private

Son of David S. and Clara E. Asdell; born April 24, 1896, Greene County, Ind. Moved with parents to Daviess County, in 1898. Employe of All Steel Equipage Company, Aurora,
Ill., where he entered service June 24, 1918. Sent to Camp Grant, Ill.; assigned to First Aid Corps, 36 Medical Detachment. Operated on for brain tumor, contracted influenza, and died January 8, 1919, Camp Grant, Ill. Buried, Scotland, Greene County, Ind.
