A memorial service for Technical Corporal Dougslass W. Ma cLeod, 26, sou of Mrs. Martha W. MacLeod, and the late Archie A. MacLeod, will be held at the Church of the Redeemer. West Hartford. Sunday at 4 p.
A former member of a unit of the 169th Regiment, Connecticut National Guard, Corporal MacLeod enlisted federal service February 18, 1941 and went overseas In October. 1942. He died January 20 of wounds received,In action on Luzon, January 18.
Corporal MacLeod had been awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge ,A personal citation for gallantry. and a Presidential Unit Citation.
