James S. Karafa

James S. Karafa, 40, of 124 Orland street, an employe[sic] of the Schaefer Brewing Company, died yesterday in St. Vincent's hospital.

Services will take place Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. in the John Lesko and Son funeral home, 1390 Fairfield avenue, and at 9 o'clock in St. Stephen's church with a solemn requiem Mass. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery.

A native of Bridgeport, Mr. Karafa was an Army veteran of World War 11, having served in the South Pacific. He had been a member of the National Guard prior to entering the Army.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Susana Karafa, of Bridgeport; two brothers, Stephen J., of Fairfield, and John A. Karafa, of Bridgeport; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Arendt and Miss Betty Karafa of Bridgeport; five nieces, three nephews and an aunt, Mrs. John Toth, of Bridgeport.
