Son of William Henry and Jessie Cox; born January 15,
1896, Sandborn, Knox County, Ind. Telegraph operator. En-
listed July 14, 1917, Denver, Colo. Sent to Camp Lewis,
Wash.; assigned to Company C, 12th Telegraph Battalion,
Signal Corps; transferred to Company E, 405th Telegraph
Battalion Signal Corps. Overseas in May, 1918. Wounded
September 16, 1918 in St. Mihiel Drive and died same day.
Buried in American Cemetery No. 1233, Thiaucourt, Grave
No. 36, Section 19, Plot 1.
